The Cotsen collection, now at the Cotsen Children’s Library at Princeton University, is a study collection of historical children’s books in all languages and from all periods, emphasizing book illustration, history of education, the ways in which periods of radical social and political change are reflected in children’s books, as well as their use as tools for propaganda and indoctrination.
